As a child I was taught that “firm” always meant raising my voice & that is very hard to unlearn. Trying my best to be firm with a low volume and kind.

I always get told by other parents why are you letting your two yr old climb rock walls. I always tell them if you teach the dangerous things all the sudden your list of dangerous things gets smaller
