Fellow autism mom of an almost 20 year-old and you’re 100% right. Autism is not an excuse. It’s definitely continued learning for the parents and also the child but it also makes things a lot easier as our children get older. We teach them different ways of doing things and how to handle their behaviors. We just have to figure out what works for our children as we all know no two children on the spectrum are the same.

yes !!!!💯 agree mama . I work with special needs as well as have an autistic kid. mine was agressive at first .. she is no longer cause I worked with her ❤️ps people I work with you can tell their parents felt bad and didn't teach em shit

Exactly you got corrective behavior. You gotta let them know. It’s not OK. You gotta teach them right from wrong and that’s what’s wrong with people. They let their autism kids do whatever they want you cannot do that. You gotta correct things when he gets out of hand.

I'm a Paraprofessional and you will be surprised the excuses that some of the parents gives us about their child on the spectrum. We teach them basic things like washing ✋️, what's wrong or right .
