OEM doesn’t want to make parts or applications to last. Their money maker is getting their machines/trucks into shops with break downs. Otherwise they’d sell engines once and never have any work done on them. IE look at Toyota and the problems they ran into when they never had any of their cars breaking down for anything. Ended up making them almost go bankrupt

What about if they walk around and both gaps aligned? Have you thought about a little lip or ridge on the flex ring the keep it aligned in the main ring gap? Or would this just be unnecessary?

I had total seal Ap gapless rings in a 6.0 ls I built. They do there job they fuckin work. That engine got treated like a hooker on Fulton industrial blvd and never ever had blowby issues. Ever.
