OMG I feel so seen with the working memory not being good enough to retain fun facts. I have the desire. I read a lot. But it just immediately leaves my head if I don't constantly use the knowledge.

I once had someone tell me I wasn’t autistic because my special interest is kpop… it’s too “normal” of an interest to be autistic… not all autistic people even have a special interest so 🫠🫠

Honestly, I hate how autism is a set of expectations now. Same with adhd. I play video games, have my tidbits of knowledge, and some shiny rocks and none of those are related to my autism 😭

Yeh so I autism in a way that I like I just consume a lot of content related to my hyperfixation and like I buy all the merch and stuff but I don’t necessarily know everything about that topic, or if I do know a lot about it I can’t easily like bring it to the front of my mind and talk about it.
