I had a fascia massage on my back as a part of physical therapy. The physical therapist told me it was common for people to cry during a fascia massage. I cried during it.

I’m an energy healer and I read fascia like Braille to interpret how people are stuck. The body is a map of how you feel

There’s an amazing book The Body Keeps the Score and it explains how our bodies hold onto trauma. As a massage therapist and yoga fanatic, stretching and staying active really does make a difference.

as an LMT you have NO IDEA how many people cry when I released their fascia. or when ppl take a ragged breath of relief. stretching, massage, yoga & cupping are all modalities to free up your fascia.

Fascias are per definitionem not an organ. They're connective tissue.

Fascia=flexible "internet cable" network that holds tissues together&carries lots of nerve"wires". Nerves AKA emotional response carriers=electrical "wires" that travel along or between layers fascia.

This post is so perfectly timed for me. I’ve been working with my therapist and studying up on the vagus nerve and fascia to help alleviate lifelong tics, digestive disease , a throat that literally locks up and chokes me when I’m anxious or learning new stuff, and alopecia areata. All autoimmune stuff. So today, when I soothe the physical symptoms, I do it by talking to my younger self and saying, “I know you didn’t get to process your emotions or speak out against your abuse then, but you’re safe now and can let go. I got you. You’re safe. Tell me what happened.” After some breathing, tapping, humming, I literally feel the physical symptoms melt away. But then blocked memories start to come up and I have to reprocess them with my adult mind. Not super convenient when this happens at work, but I just deal with it right then and there. Otherwise I just get overwhelmed by physical tension. So I have to choose— pain and tension, or deal with this now and comfort my inner child so it goes away. I’m seriously tripping on this mind-body connection and wish I had learned this years ago. I’ve had these damn tics every day all day my whole life, and they’ve just stopped. Done.
