Other states are next.” Newsom said that California law enforcement has arrested more than 370 people and that those who “incite violence or destroy our communities, amid ongoing anti-ICE protests will be held accountable. The situation, he said, “was winding down and was concentrated in just a few square blocks downtown” when the National Guard members were deployed. California has sued the administration over its troop deployment decision and is seeking an emergency court order to stop the use of the military in law enforcement activities in L.A., Newsom said. “At this moment, we must all stand up and be held to a higher level of accountability,” Newsom said toward the end of his remarks. “If you exercise your First Amendment rights, please do so peacefully.” Pres.
