@emiliavslife: Howdy pals! I’m checking in with a little update after my gigantomastia breast reduction surgery with the amazing team at Cosmedicare. To give you an idea of just how big a surgery this was – they removed over 4kg of breast tissue! Wild, right?! Because of the size of the reduction and my BMI, I knew going into this that my healing journey might have a few extra bumps in the road – things like a higher risk of haematoma and slower wound healing. And, yep, a few weeks after surgery, I did have a haematoma (basically some internal bleeding) – but the good news is, it sorted itself out without me needing more surgery. Phew! @COSMEDICARE were incredible – I had constant support, check-ins, and all the reassurance I needed to stay calm and focus on healing. Honestly, they made a tricky situation feel so much less scary. Right now, my nipple grafts are still in the healing phase (these things can take time!), but everything is heading in the right direction and I’ll keep sharing my journey as I go.
