@mariahxashley: I feel like no one ever really talks about the feelings that come with moving back to your hometown after trying something different. Failure that it didn’t “work out,” embarrassment about how you’ll be perceived, etc. Even if that’s not how YOU feel, it can be extremely overwhelming. For me, California was one of the best experiences of my life - I traveled to places I never in a million years thought I would visit, learned so much about different cultures, and met two of my best friends! Like, how many people can say they just packed up their car and moved across the country?! Wildddd😭😭 But I also realize I was the loneliest I’ve ever been...I missed spending the most mundane holidays around my family, having a reason to get out of bed everyday when I knew the only person I would be seeing was my partner, and just having those day to day interactions we usually take for granted. That said, move where you feel your best even if that’s back home🗣️it’s only been two weeks and I can already feel my excitement towards life coming back!! I wake up everyday actually excited about my routine and to just have social interactions again. It’s definitely been an adjustment and my social battery is still very low lol but I’m working on it!🤍 #moving #crosscountrymove
