I tried to go to Shima in Harajuku back in 2017 and they rejected me cause i didnt speak Japanese. I just remember their delivery wasnt so nice so this checks out lol

Not only Shima (but especially shima tbh) it’s really common for the assistants to do most of the work in Japanese salons, cut has to be done by the stylist but not the color or perm
