Wait one minute. Larger meter needed,gas piping to generator,permits and pressure test on new gas line, meter installation, meter header probably had to be reconfigured. Price sounds about right

My gas company replaced the meter for free but I think they were upgrading all of them to smart meters through attrition

A woman From Nipsco told me that so I wanted to do both pull here and the whole house generator but I told Nicholas goes for the pool heater and they did it for free

Surprisingly in California when I needed a bigger gas meter because I had a 400,000 BTU heater for my pool they came out for free! I more than double the size of the original meter

Just switch house to eletric it cleaner cost little higher but electric don't need the maintenance needed with gas tic 4tac .
