Don’t take the root of the mushroom out when you pick it!!! It helps it to regrow next year leaving spores in the ground

Morels really don’t have any set “rules” to growing, that’s why they’re so hard to grow and hard to find. People will say they grow around one thing which may be true but they grow ANYWHERE

We had our season start two weeks ago and then got hit buy 4 days of cold temps then right back to wet and warm and fresh morels are starting to pop again

I live in mass, we found our first 7 today. It was cold today too so we were surprised! I was always told to cut my morels and leave the stem, to never take from the root but I could be wrong!

Awesome we can’t replicate them. We as humans can’t grow them. They only grow after fires.

I used to have them growing in my yard I didn’t have to look in the woods. It was at my childhood home.

In Arkansas I never find them around cedars I’ve only found them next to ash, sycamore, and sassafras
