@jackdan.nursery: I learned a lot working on a small organic farm, but this is by far one of the best tricks I learned! It’s a game changer! If you have struggled with indeterminate tomatoes outgrowing tomato cages, and ending up vining all over the ground, with rotting tomatoes going to waste, this might be a great method for you! #tomatoes #tomato #trellis #farming #homesteading #sustainable #gardening #plants #foodtiktok #tips #hack #gardenhack

Mine grow too large for this. Each Tomato plant gets it's own t post and a I secure the plant to it with jute

My tomatoes were so large and plants got to 6 ft tall last yr. The string methods didn't work. I'm gonna go back to cages this yr just incase they turn into hulk mater plants again lol

I do the same thing but not going more than 3 plants per post. Weight becomes a factor later in the season.

Is that method better for cherry tomatoes or something bigger? Or does it matter?

Good idea! I fabricated my tomato baskets and works very well with them fully grown.

Really? instead of wasting so much time and effort, use the time to plant more tomatoes! Only use 1 vertical string and thats enough.
