Get a tarp when you’re diging so you don’t throw the old mulch into the grass! Also useful for when you plant & mulch

Pro tip, put tarp down next to where you’re working, shovel everything you’re removing onto the tarp so it’s easy to remove later!

My suggestion is make sure you improve the soil by adding planting mix and compost, choose plants native to your area and plant them in odd numbers like groupings of 3 or 5.

So I saw a TikTok saying putting down landscaping fabric is a waste of money because the mulch eventually breaks down and becomes soil so it will grow weeds anyways! I saved so much money without!!
