Paint em for the time being, get them powdered later on down the road if the paint doesn’t last. Either way it’s not gonna hurt to try it if you already have the paint!

I heard the powder coat is pretty good because it’s harder to chip especially with them being under the truck. 🤷♂️I ain’t sure

i’d say the only reason they rust through is because everything gets blasted before powder and there’s leftover material deep in welds usually which causes the rust

Paint them. Like another guy said, paint the inside first with epoxy primer. Dial in the fan on the gun so it sprays a stream and load it up.

I’ve seen rust happen to both for other people and same for me. Nothing you can do about it. They both chip at some point.

I was told once powder does chip it chips fast and rusts fast. I'm only powdering parts that won't get major rockchips
