my mom did this! she adopted me in her late 50’s and has given me a WONDERFUL life! i love that it was just the two of us growing up. she’s 85 now and we still have the most wonderful relationship. i’m so grateful for the life she has given me!!

my (step) dad who adopted me after my mom divorced him, showed me that it’s possible to be a single parent. Was it hard being alone raising a child (which he didn’t even had to do because back then he was “just” my step dad)? Yes. But he told me he would do it all again
