@cocosbakesnbuns: Sugar Cookie Bars Recipe: Sugar Cookie Bar: - 225g Unsalted Butter (Room Temp) - 300g Granulated Sugar - 1 Egg (Room Temp) - 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract - 320g Plain Flour - 1/4 Tsp Salt - 1/4 Tsp Baking Soda Buttercream Frosting: - 113g Unsalted Butter (Room Temp) - 505g Powdered Sugar (Sifted) - 2 Tsp Vanilla Extract - 1-3 Tbsp Milk - Pink Food Colouring - Sprinkles - Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease and line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper and set aside. - In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. - Add the egg and vanilla then beat again until combined. - Sift in the flour, salt and baking soda. - Using a spatula fold together until just combined. - Transfer the dough to the lined pan and press down into an even layer. - Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool fully. - In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until creamy, then add 1 cup of the powdered sugar and beat until combined. - Add the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until fully combined. - Add the vanilla and 1 Tbsp of milk at a time until desired consistency. - Add the food colouring until the desired colour. - Carefully remove the cookie from the pan. Frost the cookie using a spatula and top with sprinkles. - Slice up and enjoy! #sugarcookies #baking #buttercream #Love
