Straight solid pure lead is the least bioavailable form of lead, so keeping it solid is the safest way to handle it

Most plumbers don’t care about lead particles we breathe a lot worst stuff than that I’m 43 I started with my uncles when I was 10 and we would take asbestos insulation off pipe with no protection

I always drill them out. I’ve done it both ways and I swear a hole saw takes the same amount of time
