@switch_africa: Animation, a largely overlooked genre of storytelling in Africa, borrows most of its content from multinational companies. Little African stories are told while the few deliver an unreliable portrayal of Africa. Now, creators like Raymond Malinga of Creatures Studio and Richard Musinguzi, better known for @katotocartoon, are closing this gap. Through Katoto, Musinguzi, an alumnus of @gobelins.paris, is telling animated stories the African way and training the next generation of African animators.
