@minjunandkevin: The easiest 1 day itinerary for Sun Moon Lake that requires little to no planning 🤩 Part 5 of our travel adventures in Taiwan! 🇹🇼 We did little planning for a Sun Moon Lake ☀️🌙 🌊 day trip from Taichung, and turns out since it was a holiday weekend, we weren’t able to plan even if we wanted to! On holidays, you can’t reserve bus tickets online, and have to buy them in person. However, all the activities we did required no preplanning, so here’s all our best tips ⬇️ 🚌 Bus to Sun Moon Lake: Get a number to reserve your spot on the bus, and pay with your easy card. Buses are every ~30 minutes. You can buy discounted boat tickets here too 🛥️ Boat around Sun Moon Lake: One way from Shuishe Pier to Xuan Guang Temple to Ita Thao and back to Shuishe. Don’t miss the last boat back 🚡 Cable Car Ride: Check the maintenance schedule and time for the last cable car. If you’re lucky, you’ll get upgraded to a glass bottom car - not a big difference though 🍷 Ita Thao Village: Try free samples of millet wine and snacks at many places before you buy and bargain. Most places are cash only 🚌 Bus back to Taichung: Get in line an hour before the last bus.
