When you call choose the French option itโs a much quicker line, all the reps speak English so they will deal with you in English after they realize that you donโt speak. French works great

Yeah, calling CRA at the end of tax season is futile. Try again in a week. Itโs usually gets resolved once escalated. Now imagine youโre a CPA and this your job. We need hugs.

CRA has ~60,000 employees. If there is a backlog on anything, there is some serious incompetency happening. Also 20 weeks?!

My son qualified for this and it took nearly a year. Itโs because they have to redo the previous 3yrs taxes on top of re-calculating your child tax for each month. You just got caught in tax season

call your mha in your district I had a couple of issues that was getting me nowhere different topics for both,couldn't believe took me over 2 months one phone call to the mha and got results within 2 hours.

I was approved for my daughter and I selected the 10 year reassessment. I was approved Nov 29th and the CRA told me I canโt escalate until Dec this year.

is this for the review of your back taxes? our son got approval for the DTC credit. we applied in November, got approved in Jan, back pay in March and still waiting on review of last 3 years of taxes

It took 2 years to get my kiddo approved. We got denied and had to file an appeal and that whole process took 2 years. Hope you get some answers!
