I hate that people think all fluids just disappear like there isn’t a reason for it to not have oil or not have coolant or not have Freon it baffles me

I do an ac diagnostic which includes and evac&recharge with dye, and an additional half hour which covers the time to actually diag the issue including if they come back to inspect for dye

Mines a 12 ford fusion, it’s a $40 sensor embedded deep in the dash. It’s $1,000 and 8 hrs of labor to fix it bc my whole dash has to come out, I said ✨no thanks✨

I’ve had two cars that I had recharged and AC continued working properly for years until I sold them. No they shouldn’t leak but often they do and sometimes it’s not worth fixing because it’s so hard to find the leak when it’s leaking .1lbs per year.

Issue is finding shops that’ll just recharge your AC. Every shop wants to do a diagnostic. I swapped my compressor / condenser and installed new lines but I need a $2000 machine to refill Freon properly but shops won’t do it. It’s annoying.

how much is a diag like this my a/c was recharged a year ago and it’s starting to not get as cold and makes bubbling noise and when i get on the throttle it whistles/hisses when i let off

Ac systems have always been that one thing I never truly took the time to learn out of everything else. AC systems are one of the ASE’s I haven’t taken yet. I learned so much just from this one video haha.
