I thought XLM served a different purpose? Why would they think it's competition? Banks=XRP, You & I=XLM. 2 different scales of payments that don't interconnect.

jeb used to work for ripple, what if ripple sent jeb to start up a token for the people to use. ripple has the token for banks. so maybe not truly rivals?
