same reason you cannot use a Volt meter to check your vehicle battery, they're not capable of checking/testing load.

I had the same thing and I thought I was loosing my mind testing relays that were bad and the tool was saying good. Thanks for confirming I am not losing it 😂

I used my power probe and my check engine chuck load cage and found a bad ground on a jeep the other day. that load cage came in clutch!!!

What happens if you put the load cage between the tester and the power or could it be modified to put posts on the tester to to add the load cage as a load? Just wondering if that would be a good mod?

I have had several test units like yourself that would pass but in application failed. I have weeded out those and trust only certain tools myself.
