I would only put in a public trash. Otherwise I would clip it to leash and dispose of at home. I’d be upset if someone threw it in my garbage bin. Some parks have them, I’m in MA

Not sure if you have alleys where you live but in Chicago everyone just throws it in whichever alley trash can is closest

No, it's not ok to put it in random bins. You take that sh*t home with you. My trash service won't take anything that is not in a trash bag, even if it's on top of my trash bag in my trash bin.

yeah don't do it. Carry it home and put it in your own. Because if someone doesn't know it's in there and they throw something heavy in the can...ew. But Im surprised there are not bins available

you gotta take it home and put it in your own bin. animals like raccoons, possums, and coyotes could be attracted to it, plus imagine if you didn’t have a dog and opened your bin and it smelled like

In Minnesota it is illegal to use someone else's trash bin. Meanwhile in New York and Pennsylvania it is out of the norm to even have a bin at all! I would plan on using public bins or taking it home.

They have them in California and in Colorado I think it’s just Florida because a lot of the people there don’t care about the environment.

No. Don't do it. Some neighbors will not like it. Take grocery plastic bags, pick it up, carry it with you, throw in your own rubbish. Really, neighbors will complain if you throw it in their trash.

I live in Colorado. If the bin is on the curb I absolutely toss it regardless of if it is my bin or not. if there are no bins present I carry until I find one. I also don't mind if someone uses my bin

You should throw it in your trash can at home, bc a lot of us keep our trash in our garage & it will stink! Most dog parks have bins you can dispose there during your walk.

there's like 3 bins in my neighborhood (New Jersey) and it's only around the designated "dog park" (its a patch of grass with a dog sign, not an actual dog park)

The sad thing is they aren't there because it would cost public funds to put them up, maintain them and empty them. People literally won't agree to pay for that a lot of places.

In South Carolina depends on where you are. A regular neighborhood might not have the bins so you just have to take it home for your own bin. Dog parks and trails almost always have them though.
