People would never lie to an officer. Does the dog chase people? Investigate. Found out that the owner was incorrect and the dog is aggressive.

He said let’s see the dog though right? Not let’s see if the dog will stay in the fence. I’d have to rewatch the whole thing but I’d say they’re both wrong.

Bad shoot - agreed. Neither party thought through the possibilities. Even with the way things played out, the officer was not in danger.

Owner said the dog wouldn't leave the gate. It infact did, then went after the cop. What could have happened if that was a child? Sorry, hate seeing a dog being shot but the cop was justified.

The dog’s owner did start to approach the dog in an attempt to retrieve the dog. The dog’s owner should still be liable for the incident with the child.
