📢 Important Update for Importers: Transnet's New Storage Concession at DCT Pier 2 As part of its ongoing efforts to address equipment reliability issues, Transnet has introduced a new concession for importers, effective from August 1 until October 31. Here’s what you need to know: 🚢 New Free Import Storage Days: Vessels with less than 1000 units: 3.25 free days Vessels with 1000-2000 units: 4.25 free days Vessels with more than 2000 units: 5.25 free days Please note, this interim dispensation does not apply to reefers and IMDGs, which will follow the existing TPT tariff book and reefer season guidelines. Import reefers remain at a two-day free import storage rule during the reefer season. 📆 Export Stack Dates: No changes. 🛑 Slot Management: Appointment slot reviews do not necessarily mean an increase in slots. Unused slots must be cancelled 30 minutes before the slot start time to avoid penalties (e.g., cancel by 11 am for a 12-noon slot). No extensions for containers that remain unassigned with road stops in place. Transnet is committed to improving equipment availability and reliability, ensuring better truck turnaround times and optimal booking slots. For vessels impacted, the terminal will engage with shipping lines on a case-by-case basis.
