I was about to get angry and say Canada invented the telephone but looked it up first. Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland, invented the telephone in Canada and had his design patented in USA

Scottish American. Ancestors came here in the 1700s or before. I can imagine why they fled. I can't imagine how hard it was for them to leave their homes and families. It makes me sad to think of what was taken from them. Been to Ireland not Scotland but to be the first in my family to go back to our Ancestors lands feels very good and Strange.

Their mass exodus is the reason America exists how we know it. Many of our presidents are of Scottish descent and they were wanted to fight in the war of 1812 as they were known as tough fighters

I never get tired for learning Scottish History. I spent a whole weeks seeing/reading everything in the National Museum in Edinburgh. Wish I could live there.

My great uncle has spent decades on our family history & so far traced our lineage (my nanas side) back to late 1500s Scotland. Deeds, marriage docs, etc. They came to America in mid 1700s❤️
