@natthesocialworker: What advice would you give someone that is starting their MSW journey? We all need some guidance, and not all of us have it. #socialworkersoftiktok #lcsw #SocialWorkCareer #creatorsearchinsights
TIP #2: if you have a choice, always choose the school with the lowest cost. It is never worth it to go with a higher cost school (as long as it’s accredited by CSWE)

Bea :
I'd say get a BSW so you can get your MSW through an advanced standing MSW program. I have had a few people in my life get an undergraduate degree in something else and had to do the longer MSWprogram

Tip #1: you should always make sure the school is on the CSWE website as accredited. You can find remote programs there as well. If the school you’re considering is not on there DO NOT GO THERE

Tip #4: apply to as many scholarships, grants, and other programs such as some schools having partnerships with DCS where they pay for your school as long as you work for them for a certain time

Tip #3: take out as few loans as you can. I know this is not always possible, but is a good idea.
