This is needed in churches. The Bible said where there are speakers there should be interpreters, where there are no interpreters there’s no point speaking in tongues as it cannot be communicated with the congregation. You don’t have to speak in tongues to interprete tongues also. 2 separate gifts.

Just sharing my understanding from the Bible, with love. ❤️Speaking in tongues is a gift from the Holy Spirit, but the Bible doesn’t say every believer has to speak in tongues. Paul also teaches that if tongues are spoken publicly in the church, there should be an interpretation so everyone can understand and be edified. If there is no interpreter, he says to keep silent in the church and speak to God (1 Corinthians 14:27–28). But I also don’t believe we should look at someone speaking in tongues and automatically say they are not speaking to God just because we don’t understand it. The Bible says the one who speaks in a tongue speaks to God (1 Corinthians 14:2). At the end of the day, I just believe we need to follow the Word, walk in love, and let everything be done in order. ❤️🙏🏽

Speaking in tongues, is praying in your dialect. Should you be at a gathering and while praying you end up switching into your dialect. Someone who understands your tongue should interpret it so the rest may understand what you have said. Just as many people can speak their dialect not everyone knows how to pray in their dialect. Hence, it is a gift indeed. Not the skibirabadava thing most people speak and even the speaker do not understand themselves and tag it speaking in tongues.
