At WowMOM we serve Kyejjo PRO Max!!! 😂😂😂 I believe antenatal care has to be individualized because a woman does not walk into pregnancy as a blank page. She comes with her personality, her fears, her past experiences, her trauma, her relationships, her beliefs and sometimes with little things that make her feel safe or unsafe. I have personally gone through a cocktail of birth experiences, and this is one of the reasons why I added a few more cherries 🍒 to our antenatal booklet. Yes, we still do and document all the medical checks like blood pressure, baby’s growth, scans, tests etc cause all of that matters. But should antenatal care end at just ticking a few checklist? Why dont we realize that some of these emotional and mental things can eventually walk into the birth room with her if they are not addressed and supported, beforehand and they may affect her birth experience. Remember, mind & body connection…🤗 So yes,we even took it a notch higher and have a page just for the DADS … our silent heroes. We expect them to just stand there and “support mama,” yet nobody checks how they are doing. Like… Are you scared? Do you understand what is happening? Do you know how to support her? Do you have any expectations from this birth? Dobyou have any preferences? Have you thought of how your relationship will change? Its high time that we shift from treating birth like a medical event that ends once the baby arrives cause some relationships grow stronger after birth while others begin to struggle. So lets wholesomely and intentionally put in effort to support the birthing woman, her partner and her entire clan 😜. Share with me that unique and “aaawww” moment you experienced from your care provider during your antenatal or labor and delivery. #birth #antenatal #support #motherhood #education
