@buildingstories_sg: The former Yan Kit Swimming Pool located at 5 Yan Kit Road opened in 1952. Comprising 3 pools next to each other and a whole range of facilities. It was as Singapore's 2nd Public Swimming Complex. Back then, it cost 15¢ for adults and 18¢ for swimmers under 18. Owing to declining usage, the pool closed in 2001 and has since been converted to a public sports facility as well as an instagrammable heritage gallery. #singapore #SG #History #stories #fyp #iconic #architecture #singaporeheritage #singaporeurbanheritage #urbanplanning #urbandesign #culturalfusion #singaporearchitecture #DidYouKnow #yankitpool #yankit #playfield #tanjongpagar #swimming #pool
