@afeefnessouli: As part of my volunteer rotation with Glia in Gaza, I am recording testimonies of Palestinians which will contribute to a larger study on psychosocial health and trauma during this genocide. Abed Zwidie, a 23 year old journalist from Gaza City, got in touch with me and came over to walk me through the time he was detained, alongside hundreds of others, by Israeli forces. He was at Kamal Adwan hospital when it was besieged and surrounded. His story is horrifying. Abed was walked out into the courtyard, ziptied and then stripped of his clothes, then paraded around in his underwear like a criminal near Salah Ad-Din street in Gaza. As one of the few journalists in the area at the time, much of this footage was from his own camera when he was at Kamal Adwan. There have been nearly 600 days of horror but it is important to remember that we must listen to Palestinians’ stories and revisit what they experienced - both so that they can try and heal and so that we don’t become desensitized to tragedy through second hand trauma and thus allow torture to continue. #trauma #Love #insta #instagram #foryou #fyp #explore #explorepage #medicine #tiktok
