@travelgram_withlaurab: We had the most incredible stay at The Blue Vista Motor Lodge 229 Mohawk Trail Florida, MA 413-664-0007 www.bluevistamotorlodge.com I really cannot say enough about this place. This is the kind of view - that only rich people get to enjoy usually. There is so much history here: the Native Americans used the Mohawk trail for trade and getting about the region 300 years ago. From that, dirt roads appeared as did the first settlers in the area. This site was a resort with little cabins facing the mountains. They opened the first rest stop for weary travelers in the area. Eventually, they put a hotel and restaurant/Tavern on the site and it was very popular - until highways. That changed how Americans traveled and this little oasis was forgotten on the back roads. Last year new buyers purchased this historic site and did a total refresh and added the hot tubs, fire pits and sauna. They brought in the good beds and nice amenities. The price to stay here last I looked was $169 a night!!!! 169!!!!! What? You just will not get these views anywhere else - I know this as I have traveled all around New England. If you get anything near this - you will pay! We put together an epic waterfall adventure we look forward to sharing with you as well! Put this on the save pile when you are looking for the BEST place to stay for leaf peeping season!
