wish I saw this a year ago! people scared me out of the pitcher method because of the difference in temperature. I always thought if I have to wait for it to cool, no point still going to use up a ton of space in my fridge anyways 🙄

I have this same Dr brown pitcher ! Is it Totally safe for storing breast milk? I feel like the top of the pitcher has a hole where you mix it when you put the white thing up

So you can mix milks from different days and then after 4-6 days put in bags and freeze if you don’t use it? Date it for day one? I just want to make sure I understand correctly.

I don’t understand the benefit of this, couldn’t you just bag it directly? Why mix it?

What about differencing between day vs night milk? Should we separate them? I’ve heard that night milk has melatonin and day milk has cortisol

So I can store the milk in the pitcher and keep adding to it for up to 6 days, then bag them and put them in the freezer? And how long is the milk good for after freezing ?

A good little hack I use if using a glass storage pitcher, is use a dry erase pen and write the info on the glass itself. When to freeze it etc. saved me a lot of confusion!

I would put all milk from that day and the night before make the bottles and then freeze the milk left over. it saved me so much frustration and made it more practical for me

I have the same Dr. Brown’s pitcher. Do I need to boil it before each use, or is running it through the dishwasher enough to make sure it’s properly sterilized

When using the pitcher method, do you need to use two different pitchers: one for AM milk and one for PM milk?
