i heard that some cars can use many fuels octane, when it says "recommended" its so you can either use the recommended octane or you can use lower, ex: "recommended 91" you get better performane on 91 but you can use 87

basically just use whatever number is recommended. if your car does not recommend premium fuel with higher octane then just stick with regular 87
