The gag is you have to already have a high enough credit score to OBTAIN a new 0 balance transfer card. This is a privilege that doesn’t help those who has already dipped due to high balance

Also don’t forget to read the fine print! Tried to do a balance transfer between Discover & Capital One & I couldn’t do it because “they’re partner companies” 😑

I let myself and my dept get out of control these last couple of years. I got a 25,000 loan from sofi and a 3,000 balance transfer with the Citi Double cash. I paid off all my cards and locked them.

I transferred it into a Amex personal loan and it was the best thing I ever did. It also forced me to have to stick to a larger payment monthly to get it down. I just recently paid all of it!
