it's Kentucky Lake and Barkley Lake. Being from around their, and parents and family from there. I've heard several stories, and had an experience, was at Hemitite Lake fishing, and it was getting dark, started hearing something walk in gravel behind us but could never see anything, but was getting closer, and you ever drop a knife on gravel? that's the sound heard directly behind us but nothing was there when we shined out lights. needless to say that was it for us fishing. grabbed everything up and ran to truck, only been back there twice since and in daylight.

yup... I've lived close to lbl all my life close to kentucky lake (beaver dam area) DO NOT.. I REPEAT DO NOT!! stay in or around LBL after dusk it gets spooky.... I've only camped in LBL once..... I will not ever do it again.....

I was fishing on the south end of LBL at Energy Lake. There were other people fishing. One had a basset hound that kept doing that bark that only a basset can make. About, I guess, 30 seconds later, something in the woods mimicked that hound. I didn’t stay after dark to fish, as planned.
