I completely agree. I've been no contact with both my parents for 9 months now. They're still "at a loss" at what they need to do to fix things with me. But refuse to go to therapy as I mentioned. 🙃

I completely agree . I accepted and respected when my oldest son (28) went no contact. But note: I also went no contact w/family members until my boundaries were respected. Growth is real!✨

Most kids (including myself) don’t make the decision lightly there’s been things leading up to it. It kills me when that side of the family is like “blood is thicker than water” “you need to make up with your father”. There’s only so many times you can try and things never change before you give up. 🤷🏼♀️

I went no contact with my birth mother due to her addiction thankfully I was adopted into an amazing family but even after adoption I tried and tried with her until I realized I’m done being hurt I’m done holding on to this fairytale life that is never coming true…I feel your pain I get it to the furthest degree but you have to set your own boundaries to protect you and your peace because if the ones who are suppose to protect you won’t your the only one who will
