My babygirl will be 10 months on Tuesday and she has 2 teeth. I was also scared but this morning we made the jump after watching a lot of BLW videos and she did so well and loved it!

My first born didn't get teeth until 13 months old. We feed her chopped up spaghetti, cottage cheese, mash potatoes, very tiny pieces of scrambled eggs, fruit purée and soft steamed vegetables.

I was the exact same way with my daughter😭😭, now she’s 19months and is so picky but I started off with a lot of soft solids like eggs mashed potatoes green beans

I also didn’t do BLW. I breastfed for 14 months and in those 14 months we done purées and after a year old I started feeding him real food. We done some things here and there that he couldn’t choke on

I always say it’s more about the flavor and getting a texture/hand coordination with food down not the actual consumption of that food! Plus it’s all how your child reacts/wants to actually eat solid

I had the same fear some foods we started with. Scrambled eggs, noodles, toast with lots of butter, avacado, mandarin oranges, banana, for some reason these foods seemed less of a worry for me

My daughter was the exact same way! She only had 2 teeth when she turned one. We did purées for the longest time and mashed potatoes and things that didn’t terrify me that she would choke on

I didn’t fully start my son on solids until 11 months bc he didn’t have many teeth & everyoneeee had an opinion on it. He’s 2 & eats just about anything now. Do what’s best for ur son (:

My 7 month old has only had eggs and oatmeal so far and he was allergic to oatmeal 🤷🏼♀️starting purées next week so that’s how it’s going for us lol I also had a surgery so his doctor wanted me to wait until I was better in case he had any severe reactions

We slowly transitioned from purées to blw right around 10 months. Highly recommend the lifevac & infant cpr and choking classes. Both really help my confidence.

I’m with you. My baby is 15 months old and has 6 teeth now and I’m still terrified of her choking. I’m afraid to feed her anything but soft foods and purées

Small pieces! And it helped me hearing that there teeth are not detrimental to chewing, their jaws are extremely strong. “loud and red, let them go ahead. Silent and blue, they need help from you”!!

I didn’t blw, despite EVERYONE trying to suggest/give my child food. She’s perfectly fine. It’s completely up to you mama. Fed is best. Best of luck!

Take your time and do what feels good. You will get there. I was the same way and my 11 month old ate steak this week. Be kind to yourself!
