The funeral director we chose for my mom. When a child passes he charges the family nothing for services just what the choose to buy. He charges them what he pays.

In my personal opinion, I think it’s ridiculous that anyone makes money off of someone’s death during the funeral process, family should be in the ground on their own property?

Had a less than great experience with the funeral home that handled my brothers service, they just made comments that should be inside thoughts. He was a bigger guy and they had to do some extra work

When my FIL passed my BIL asked how we pay for the funeral. She said we’re not a bank, we don’t take payments 😳 uh ok we didn’t ask for payments 😆 We needed forms of pymnt so we could split costs 🤪

The funeral home I used for my mom forgot to file her death certificate for 4 months then the funeral director called in sick when I went to pick it up.

I just don’t want my family to have to spend thousands when I die, even cremation is $1200 or more. I’m all for cremation on the fire pit in the backyard, my ashes in the pond, free of charge..

we needed an urn for my dad. the at the time local funeral director was my middle school teacher husband. not only did he help us get the cheapest one. he knocked half off of it.
