as a hyper independent person, I feel the same anger and frustration, but I also understand that anger has more to do with the wound that I have where I had no support and had to heal on my own.

also became hyper independent but glad it didn’t make me lose empathy for how others respond to their trauma and think i’m better bc my issues manifest differently

Everyone heals from trauma differently and it is not our place to judge if they are working on improvement. Please have empathy. It is not a contest for who is strongest or has the worst trauma.

Ain't nothing more annoying than having to hold space for some who can't do ANYTHING but can conveniently explain exactly why they can't do anything. Learned Helplessness sucks.

Wow this comment section is disappointing. Don’t listen to these ppl trying to shame you. They just don’t get it. This is a valid thought/frustration to express.

Your period keeps disappearing, arriving late or turning up whenever it feels like it. What is your body trying to tell you? When someone comes into clinic with irregular or missing periods, I want to understand what’s happening with ovulation and the hormonal signals behind it. Your menstrual cycle relies on communication between your brain and ovaries. Several things can interrupt that conversation, and the treatment depends on the cause. That’s why your history matters. Have your cycles always been irregular, or is this new? Have you been through significant stress or illness? Changed your eating, increased your training or lost weight quickly? Not eating enough to meet your body’s needs can suppress the signals that support ovulation. This can happen at any body size. We also consider PCOS, thyroid function, elevated prolactin and changes in ovarian function. If pregnancy is possible, that’s the first thing to check. Appropriate investigations help us distinguish between these causes. And your cycle doesn’t have to be exactly 28 days to be healthy. What matters is the overall pattern, significant changes and whether you’re ovulating. The goal is to understand why your cycle has changed and build a plan that addresses it. That might involve improving nourishment and recovery, adjusting exercise, supporting metabolic health or coordinating further medical assessment. If your periods have stopped or become persistently irregular, arrange a review rather than waiting indefinitely for them to return. For individual support, start with our free Find the Right Practitioner discovery call. We’ll help match you with the right naturopath for your concerns. Liverpool, Sydney and Australia wide via Zoom. www.nourishingapothecary.com #IrregularPeriods #MissingPeriods #Ovulation #HormoneHealth #NourishingApothecary
