First time I propped a snake plant I was so impatient I almost threw them out until I saw a baby root 💚💚💚

Don’t change the water! It does start to look gross but it’s the plant putting out rooting hormone-just add to it when it gets low ❤️

If you let them dry for two hours before putting them in it’ll literally take like a two weeks to grow roots and 40 days to grow another snake plant

I’ve had mine sitting in a mason jar for abt a year and a half. I’ve been able to get 10 little baby plants from it. Sooo exciting to see new growth!

Just change the water when it starts to smell. Sometimes it looks cloudy because of the hormones or nutrients released by your plant to support the growth of strong, healthy roots.

Use bigger pieces, they will have more energy stored that they can use and I ussaly have enough roots to plant them after 2 or 3 months

My last snake plant propagation took a year. I have 4 plants from it but man. I don’t want to do it again 😂

If mine has a second "baby plant" in the pot already, can I just uproot that one and repot it? 👀👀👀

i read somewhere that adding another propagation from a fast rooting plant like pothos to the same jar can make it faster

Thank you. I’m at 3 weeks and wondering if I did something wrong. I did exactly like you did.

I have a big 18” piece I did a straight snip and put in water with a pinch of orchid fertilizer and put on the patio. 1 week later and I have roots! Debating if I cut it and try some more instead of having a large awkward spike.

clipped some from work and stuck them straight in the dirt. 10 months later I got the first sprout! 6 months after that she's flourishing
