@afeefnessouli: Today I got to speak to Abdallah Al-Majdalawi, a civil defense rescuer, which means he’s the guy who pulls people out of the rubble when there’s an attack. He told me about his work, his trauma and his day to day life. Understanding the psychosocial effects of being on the frontlines of genocide is part of my work volunteering here with Glia, an EMT delegation in Gaza. Palestinian doctors and rescue workers like Abood are experiencing this genocide on an extreme level because they are literally stepping in to try and save their people.
