@insammysgarden: Allium care update 💜 My large alliums have their heads & I have decided to tidy up my foliage. The leaves to these alliums are so super long, straggly & some have damage. Once the head is formed the foliage may be reduced a little. This is because the leaves have been formed for many months already a lot of the photosynthesis has been done. So removing the tips of the leaves allows a tidier plant without sabotaging next years flower. Are you a pruner? 🪴 This is personal choice and please only prune if you feel your allium is at the appropriate stage of growth. Do not cut leaves unless the head is fully formed and starting to open. #allium #alliums #beginnergardener #gardening #gardentips #gardentipsandtricks #garden #diygardening
