How does owning chicken make you self sufficient?! You need to consume like a whole chicken every 3 days, unless you own like 10000 of them, it’s not self sufficiency. And no, of course noise is not a problem

Our city allows chickens but they are now banning them, because of MANY bad chicken owners, overly unsanitary coops, improperly stored feed, mice/rat infestations, chickens not being fully fenced in.

It has to do with taxes too! Groverment can’t tax you on eggs and meat you grow. We are dependent on everything that the gov taxes.

our little town did a survey, the top was should people on town be able to own chickens, 75% of the votes in the survey voted yes and the mayor STILL rejected it. 🙄
