@neilpatel: We looked at 12,005 sites over the last 3 years to see where their traffic mix was coming from. Keep in mind this is the percentage of traffic by channel. Overall, the average site saw an increase in traffic of 11.03% over the 3-year period. But here is how the breakdown changed over time. The big winner was paid ads, which have increased as a percentage of the total traffic mix. Sites have increased their paid ad traffic by 33%.
