I have a regular housekeeper for last 10 years. She have given my kids chores before because their room was too dirty. She also taught them how to clean properly. She's part of the family now

I always “pre cleaned” and made sure all of my items were put away and tidy so she could clean the surfaces. I always told my kids she’s here to clean your room not to put all of your Lego pieces away

I swear by “doesn’t need much” or “isn’t that dirty” as the kiss of death. Dirty people think their house “isn’t that bad” and clean people think their house is dirty (it isn’t).
