Wow so much negativity towards these trees. I guess I’ve been lucky have had them for 26 years and only lost a few 8 years ago to bagworms. Now that I know what bag worms are I keep my eye open for them.

They don't not grow 12-24" a year. They're very slow growing. you'll be lucky to get 4" per year.

they are not good privacy trees if they are spaced 3 ft apart. They grow slowly wide but mostly tall

Terrible choice for a tree. They randomly die grow slow and are very prickly and itchy. Green giants are the only way to go.

as a tree service owner, I love when people plant them. they need to be trimmed regularly and when people don't, they blow over and I get paid to remove them. keep planting folks!

Boring Home Depot design and do not do well in most soils. Emerald Greens are trash. Go with Green Giants. Single leader and better shape, more hardy.
