If you cut low and immediately paint the cut surface with stump and vine killer it pulls the herbicide down into the roots to kill them. Consistency is key with bamboo. Get each shoot that comes up.

Let it grow about 3 ft, cut it , and pour boiling water down the tube. It's keeps it at bay for us. 👍

Bamboo is an invasive species. If they are not planted in containers, they will spread.

That’s running bamboo. The clumping variety grows like a normal plant and is not so invasive.

There are plastic barriers you can put in the ground. Our neighbor planted blackberries that were trying to takeover our yard. I ordered a 18inch rigid plastic barrier from Amazon and had it installed. we haven't had an issue since.

the sprouts can dig through solid pavement and destroy foundations. house values are going to decrease along with serious damage to the surroundings
