@bfruits616: PERSIMMONS - our favorite fall fruit and just like other fruits, there's several varieties of persimmons! Here we have three kinds and they all have a slightly different taste/texture. 🍂 Tropical persimmon: grown in South Florida and must be SOFT to eat or else it will be astringent. Flavor is subtle but sweet with hints of cinnamon and pumpkin. Skin is edible. 🍂 Fuyu persimmon: grown in Georgia and can be eaten at any stage. We like to bite right into it, skin and all! Taste is reminiscent of a sweet, soft apple with notes of pumpkin and fall (is that a flavor? lol) 🍂 Hachiya persimmon: grown in California and must be SUPER soft, squishy, and remind you of a water balloon in order to eat it. Once you've determined it's fully ripe, dive right in with a spoon over a plate or bowl to catch the gooey juice.
